Paper presented at IEEE CSCN 2026
An AI-enhanced framework for secure and trustworthy 6G services?

PAISES-6G presented its paper “An AI-Enhanced Framework for Secure and Trustworthy 6G Services: The PAISES-6G Approach” at the IEEE Conference on Standards for Communications and Networking (IEEE CSCN 2026). The conference was hosted by King’s College London from 7 to 9 September 2026 and was co-located with the one6G Summit 2026.

The paper was presented in Special Session 4, “AI-Nativeness for 6G: Architectures and Technologies”. PAISES-6G co-sponsored the session with our SNS JU sister projects PIONEERS-6G, 6G-PATH, 6G-VERSUS and PROSPERO. It was presented by Prof. Hassan Osman (Real Wireless, PAISES-6G Project Innovation Manager).

What the paper proposes

As 6G moves towards open, multi-vendor and AI-driven architectures, perimeter-based security is no longer enough. The paper sets out how PAISES-6G treats security, trust and privacy as first-class Security Services, each with explicit attributes, policies and SLAs. Five components make up the architecture:

  • A Network Digital Twin Engine for pre-deployment validation on synthetic, privacy-preserving data
  • A SECaaS Attestation Module providing blockchain-backed trust evidence
  • A Zero-Touch AI/ML Deployment Orchestrator that gates deployment on that evidence
  • A QKD SDN Controller for quantum-safe operation
  • A Privacy-Preserving JCAS and Telemetry Module protecting users in sensing scenarios

The paper also outlines how the approach will be validated across three testbeds (5TONIC, Gotham and a distributed seven-partner testbed) and three use cases: Industrial IoT, Global Security and Network Dynamics.
